I cant stop these occasions, well that wouldn't be fair As we loved them so much when you were always there How we scrimped and saved yes we laughed and we cried To get those gifts they all prayed for, our best we tried. It is my turn now to ask for a special Christmastime gift To plead and pray and see if my heart can be given a lift I write my letter to He who grants somebody's prayer And hope against everything that He knows I am there. Ever since you went my life has been so lonely and sad Not much reason now to enjoy these times and be glad For you are in one place as we are separated by the skies My laughs have been replaced by all the tears in my eyes.
